Both hero and stunt versions were created for the film, and the weapon features in two memorable moments — first when Chekov inadvertently leaves one behind during his escape from Federal custody, and later when Kirk uses one to melt a lock and trap the surgical team treating the injured Chekov.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003ch4\u003e\u003cstrong\u003eTHE REPLICA\u003c\/strong\u003e\u003c\/h4\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eFactory Entertainment was fortunate to briefly own one of the original Klingon Hand Phaser props from the production.
