The Klingon disruptor is the primary sidearm of Klingon officers in Star Trek III: The Search for Spock, designed as a powerful and intimidating weapon.

The Original Prop

For Star Trek III: The Search for Spock, director Leonard Nimoy introduced a more aggressive, battle-worn look for the Klingons. Disruptors were created in both pistol and rifle forms, with the pistol version carried by officers like Commander Kruge, played by Christopher Lloyd.

The original props were made from wood and resin with found parts, giving them a distinctive silhouette—but also making them fragile and prone to damage during filming.

The Replica

Factory Entertainment’s Klingon Disruptor Prop Replica has been carefully developed using archival references and production research to faithfully recreate the on-screen prop.

To improve durability, the replica features a metal barrel with a body constructed from polyresin and ABS. An integrated red LED in the emitter and three different sound effects bring the piece to life, recreating the look and feel seen on screen.
